UK government statements say Iran has targeted dissidents and media organisations/journalists in the UK, and that these efforts form a strategy to stifle criticism through intimidation and fear.

It seems the Iranian regime isn't so keen on freedom of speech in the UK.

The UK government and Parliament sources reference MI5 reporting that the UK has responded to 20+ “Iran-backed plots” since early 2022, described as potentially lethal.

The current Iranian regime is a clear and present danger to citizens of the UK.

In May 2025, the Security Minister told Parliament that eight men were arrested in major national-security operations, including five arrests on suspicion of preparation of a terrorist act under the Terrorism Act 2006.

The UK has placed Iran on the enhanced tier of the Foreign Influence Registration Scheme (FIRS). This requires registration of certain activities done at the direction of Iranian state bodies (or risk criminal penalties).

The UK government has said the National Cyber Security Centre has observed malicious cyber activity by Iranian state-affiliated actors targeting sectors including in the UK.

Iran's impact on interference on security, trade and democracy in the UK is a national security issue.

Parliamentary briefing material says Iran has used criminal groups to help conduct operations (i.e., proxies rather than uniformed state actors).

Iran loves to use its proxies to cause the maximum amount of damage to the UK.

I have no problem starting the purge in Iran.

But they MUST be removed from the UK also.

🔻تصاویری از صدای شادی شبانه مردم در نقاط مختلف تهران در پی حمله امریکا و اسرائیل به ایران و انتشار گزارش‌هایی از کشته شدن علی خامنه‌ای منتشر شده است.

بنیامین نتانیاهو، نخست‌وزیر اسرائیل گفته است «نشانه‌های فزاینده حکایت از آن دارد که خامنه‌ای از میان رفته.»

این خبر از طرف مقام‌های ایران تایید نشده است.

پیشتر عباس عراقچی، وزیر خارجه ایران به ان‌بی‌سی گفته بود که تا آن‌ جا که اطلاع دارد، علی خامنه‌ای، رهبر جمهوری اسلامی، و همچنین مسعود پزشکیان، غلامحسین محسنی اژه‌ای و محمدباقر قالیباف «زنده‌اند.»‌

به گزارش خبرگزاری ایلنا احسان جهانیان گفت: «دستگاه‌های اجرایی با ظرفیت کامل در حال خدمت‌رسانی هستند. اطمینان می‌دهیم خدمات‌رسانی به مردم دچار اختلال نمی‌شود و نگرانی در مورد تأمین کالا و سوخت وجود ندارد.»

تصاویری از خسارات ناشی از حملات جدید جمهوری اسلامی به تل‌آویو در اسرائیل منتشر شده است. رسانه‌های اسرائیل از مجروح شدن هفت شهروند این کشور خبر داده‌اند.

🔻دونالد ترامپ، رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا در گفت‌وگو با شبکه ای‌بی‌سی نیوز گفته است که حملات آمریکا «تا همین حالا نیز خسارت زیادی وارد کرده» و «بخش زیادی» از رهبری ایران از بین رفته است.

آقای ترامپ در یک مصاحبه تلفنی با این شبکه گفت: «ما همه چیز را نمی‌دانیم، اما بخش زیادی از آن [رهبری] از بین رفته است.» او همچنین افزود که آمریکا «تصور بسیار روشنی» از این دارد که چه کسانی نسل بعدی رهبران ایران خواهند بود.
