U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) had prepared military options for President Trump, which were presented to him in recent days and now have been refined to more align with his objectives regarding Iran, according to a U.S. official and another person familiar with the discussions who spoke with NBC News.

اسکات بسنت، وزیر خزانه‌داری آمریکا در مصاحبه‌ای با شبکه نیوزمکس که چهارشنبه پخش شد در مورد جمهوری اسلامی ایران گفت «ما خیلی سریع در حال نزدیک شدن به مرحله پایانی طرحی هستیم که رئیس‌جمهور ترامپ تقریباً بلافاصله پس از ورود به کاخ سفید آن را به اجرا گذاشت.»

او گفت رهبری جمهوری اسلامی به مردم آسیب زده است و مقامات رژیم «پول را در سراسر جهان برای جنگ‌های نیابتی پخش کرده‌اند و تلاش کرده‌اند به سلاح هسته‌ای دست پیدا کنند. و همان‌طور که در عملیات 'چکش نیمه‌شب' در ۲۲ ژوئن دیدیم، زمانی که رئیس‌جمهور ترامپ به خلبانان شجاع بمب‌افکن‌های بی-۲ ما دستور داد تا به برنامه هسته‌ای ایران پایان دهند، ما پس از آن نیز فشار را ادامه دادیم.»

President Donald J. Trump has told his national security team that he would want any U.S. military action in Iran to deliver a “swift and decisive blow” to the regime and not spark a sustained war that dragged on for weeks or months, according to a U.S. official who spoke to NBC News.

“If he does something, he wants it to be definitive,” one of the people familiar with the discussions said, however so far, Trump’s advisers have not been able to guarantee to him that the regime would quickly collapse after a strike and there is concern that the U.S. may not have all the assets in the region it would need to guard against what administration officials expect would be an extremely aggressive response from Iran.
