سپاه تأکید کرده مسیر ورودی از دریای عمان به سمت خلیج فارس، از شمال جزیره لارک عبور خواهد کرد و مسیر خروجی نیز با عبور از جنوب این جزیره به سمت دریای عمان در نظر گرفته شده است.
پیش‌تر نیز در بیانیه‌ای که از سوی رسانه‌های دولتی منتشر شد، اعلام شده بود مسیرهای جدید تردد با هدف پرهیز از مناطق احتمالی مین‌گذاری‌شده طراحی شده و نقشه آن در اختیار کشتی‌ها قرار گرفته است.
