فرماندهی مرکزی ایالات متحده اعلام کرد که تا ساعت ۴ بعد از ظهر روز دوشنبه دوم مارس به وقت شرق آمریکا،‌ شش نفر از نیروهای نظامی آمریکا در جریان عملیات علیه ایران کشته شدند.

ارتش آمریکا از پیدا شدن اجساد دو نفر از نظامیان آمریکایی که در حملات اولیه ایران در تاسیساتی در منطقه کشته شده بودند،‌ خبر داد.

فرماندهی مرکزی ایالات متحده می‌گوید: «عملیات‌ عمده رزمی همچنان ادامه دارد.»

آمریکا می‌گوید که هویت جان‌باختگان،‌ ۲۴ ساعت پس از اطلاع‌رسانی به نزدیک‌ترین بستگان آنان اعلام خواهد شد.

ارتش آمریکا همچنین از غرق شدن ۱۱ کشتی ایران خبر داده است.

فرماندهی مرکزی ایالات متحده در شبکه ایکس نوشت: «دو روز پیش حکومت ایران ۱۱ کشتی در خلیج عمان داشت،‌ امروز آنها هیچ کشتی ندارند.»

ارتش آمریکا می‌گوید: «حکومت ایران دهه هاست که کشتیرانی بین‌المللی را هدف آزار و حمله قرار داده است. آن روزها تمام شده است. آزادی دریانوردی بیش از ۸۰ سال است که زیربنای رفاه اقتصادی آمریکا و جهان بوده است و نیروهای آمریکایی به دفاع از آن ادامه خواهند داد.»
