موساد، ارتش اسرائیل و شین‌بت اعلام کردند یک شبکه مورد حمایت سپاه را که قصد حمله به زیرساخت‌های راهبردی و همچنین اهداف اسرائیلی و یهودی در جمهوری آذربایجان را داشت، شناسایی و خنثی کرده‌اند.

در بیانیه مشترک این نهادها آمده است محور اصلی این طرح، تلاش برای حمله به خط لوله نفت باکو، تفلیس، جیهان بوده که از گرجستان و ترکیه عبور می‌کند. به گفته این نهادها، اهداف دیگری نیز در جمهوری آذربایجان در فهرست این شبکه قرار داشته است.

رئیس ارتش پاکستان در تماس با رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا اعلام کرده محاصره دریایی آمریکا در تنگه هرمز یکی از موانع اصلی پیشرفت مذاکرات صلح است.

بر اساس گزارش خبرگزاری رویترز، عاصم منیر رئیس ارتش پاکستان که نقش میانجی در مذاکرات را ایفا می‌کند، در گفت‌وگوی تلفنی با دونالد ترامپ رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا گفته محاصره دریایی آمریکا در تنگه هرمز در حال حاضر یکی از موانع اصلی دستیابی به توافق است.

به گفته یک منبع امنیتی پاکستانی، ترامپ در این تماس اعلام کرده این موضوع را بررسی خواهد کرد. پاکستان به دلیل روابط خود با هر دو طرف، از بازیگران میانجی در روند گفت‌وگوها به شمار می‌رود.

کیم داروک، سفیر پیشین بریتانیا در آمریکا، اعلام کرد سه موضوع اصلی همچنان مانع پیشرفت مذاکرات میان جمهوری اسلامی و آمریکا است؛ در حالی که تهران از شرکت در دور جدید گفت‌وگوهای مستقیم انصراف داده است.
به گفته داروک، نخستین مانع، اصرار جمهوری اسلامی بر ادامه برنامه هسته‌ای خود است. دومین اختلاف به سطح قابل قبول غنی‌سازی اورانیوم مربوط می‌شود؛ موضوعی که آمریکا خواهان محدودیتی پایین‌تر از توافق هسته‌ای سال ۲۰۱۵ است تا به گفته دونالد ترامپ، «توافق بهتری» حاصل شود.
او همچنین مسئله کنترل تنگه هرمز را سومین نقطه اختلاف دانست؛ جایی که جمهوری اسلامی خواهان حفظ کنترل کامل بر این گذرگاه راهبردی است و احتمال دریافت عوارض از کشتی‌های عبوری نیز مطرح شده است.
داروک افزود آمریکا در تلاش است طی چند هفته به توافق برسد، در حالی که مذاکرات توافق هسته‌ای ۲۰۱۵ حدود ۲۰ ماه طول کشید.
