Iran, Iran...

Will the strikes happen today, or Friday when markets close?

Remember Monday is a public holiday in the U.S., which leaves 72 hours to strike and finish before markets open (to avoid freaking out investors while markets are open. Striking when markets are closed gives investors time to digest the news)

🚨🇮🇷 Iran's FM Araghchi is saying his government's now in "full control," and things are "calm" now, framing it as wrapping up "3 days of terrorist operation."

Exiled voices and reports pegging deaths over 12,000 and unrest still simmering, this reeks of regime damage control while its people call for outside help.

🇮🇷🇮🇱 WHO REPLACES IRAN’S REGIME IF IT FALLS?

According to Iranian analyst Trita Parsi, it’s definitely not Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, who sounds more like an IDF spokesperson rather than a future leader of Iran.

"There should be strong opposition groups, whether it's inside or outside. And yet we don't see strong ones.

You need a strong middle class to have a democratic opposition, and the sanctions have decimated the Iranian middle class.

He [Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi] showed up in Israel, was welcomed by the Intelligence Minister, and when Israel bombed Iran, he refused to condemn it. He sounded like an IDF spokesperson.

You’re hearing chants for the Shah’s son. But is it real support, or just the most offensive thing people can chant against the Islamic Republic?"

🇮🇷 The strikes on Iran are inevitable, the question is when and why: to change the regime, change the leader, or destroy the country?

This interview is probably the best breakdown of what the strikes will look like and what the various outcomes could be.

My guest is a respected Iranian who escaped during the revolution and had his family jailed by both the Shah and the current regime.

He is hated by both fanatics of the regime and fanatics of Prince Reza Pahlavi.

Why?

Because he doesn’t pick sides. He despises the regime but also doesn’t believe the Crown Prince can lead the country, and he argues that inevitable U.S. strikes will likely lead to catastrophe for Iran and the region.

I enjoy conversations with those who genuinely try to be intellectually honest, and @tparsi is one of them.

Enjoy the discussion.

🇮🇷 THIS IS IRAN’S BLOODIEST CRACKDOWN SINCE 1979, AND THEY’RE TRYING TO SPIN IT

Iran’s regime is in panic mode.

What started on December 28 as protests over brutal economic conditions has now exploded across the country.

Thousands may be dead, but Tehran is putting hijab-free women on state TV, pushing slogans about “freedom,” and blaming “foreign enemies.”

The U.S. is warning it could strike.

Meanwhile, protesters keep marching, and the regime’s leaders are treating it like a fight for their survival, and they’re willing to kill to stay in power.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 EXILED IRANIAN NOBEL WINNER TO U.S.: “DON’T START A WAR, JUST TAKE OUT THE LEADERS”

Shirin Ebadi, who won the Nobel Peace Prize, says the U.S. shouldn’t go full war mode to stop the regime from killing protesters.

She says the better move is targeted hits on the people at the top, like the supreme leader and IRGC bosses, or jamming state TV so they lose control of the narrative.

“Stopping a massacre doesn’t mean killing more people”

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi speaking today during an interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier.

Baier: “If you have a message for President Trump, who obviously is and has talked about and is considering some kind of action to help the protesters on the ground, if you have a message for him, what is the message?”

Araghchi: “My message is do not repeat the same mistake that you did in June. You know, if you try a failed experience, you will get the same result. You know, in June, yes, you destroyed the facilities, the machines, but the technology cannot be bombed, and the determination also cannot be bombed. Now Iran proved to be ready for war, for negotiation, for diplomacy. We have proved that in the past 20 years, in 2015, in 2025, every time. But it was the United States who always escaped from diplomacy, who cut the diplomacy and opted for war. My message is between war and diplomacy. Diplomacy is a better way, although we don't have any positive experience from the United States, but still diplomacy is much better than war.”

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Trump’s in a dilemma when it comes to Iran.

We all know he wants quick victories. We also know he fears being dragged into a prolonged Middle East war, especially after months of pitching himself as the “peace President” who ends wars.

Because of this, some analysts believe Trump will either avoid striking Iran, or simply conduct a symbolic strike.

On the other hand, others believe Trump said too much to be able to step back now, things like: “Iranian Patriots, KEEP PROTESTING - TAKE OVER YOUR INSTITUTIONS!!!” and “HELP IS ON ITS WAY”

Couple that with Israel’s pressure, and it seems Trump may actually have no choice but to strike, and strike hard.

Which one is it, a symbolic strike or full decapitation? What’s your guess?

Mario Nawfal: My Prediction: Trump's comments just now talking about Iran stopping the killings does NOT mean he's changing his mind. To me, it means he's already given the order to attack, and it's already in progress.

He did the same thing before the 12-day war. Remember?

🇺🇸🇮🇱 "THE U.S. AND ISRAEL DECAPITATED IRAN"

Geopolitical analyst and frequent Middle East commentator Trita Parsi breaks down what he calls the step-by-step strategy to bring Iran’s regime to collapse, and why a war now feels "inevitable."

"There’s a perception now that war with Iran is no big deal, like the cost is lower than ever before.

But what comes after? A new democracy, or chaos, civil war, refugee waves, and collapse that spills into Türkiye, Iraq, and Europe?

Israel’s actions across 7 or 9 countries since 2023 have scared the Gulf states. Now they’re realizing the U.S. alliance doesn’t protect them from Israel.

That’s why we’re suddenly seeing talk of a Turkey, Saudi, Pakistan alignment, not to defend Iran, but to balance Israel’s growing regional power."
